2025 Summer Show
This year our Summer Show will start at The Franklin Gallery at RiverStones and then be extended for an extra month of public display at Rochester Public Library! Image drop off will be at The Franklin Gallery May 30th, 2025 from 4pm to 6pm and May 31st, 2025 10am until 11:30am. The show theme is People : Through our lenses, we aim to capture the essence of what it means to be human in all its forms—our emotions, interactions, stories, and individuality.
Whether you enjoy capturing raw emotions, storytelling through street photography, or experimenting with abstract representations of the human form, this theme offers endless creative possibilities. We can’t wait to see how you bring it to life! There are many ways to interpret this theme:
- 📸 Portraits – Showcase the depth of expression in a person’s face, whether in a studio or through candid street photography.
- 🤝 Connections – Capture human relationships—friendships, family bonds, or fleeting encounters that tell a story.
- 🏙 People in Their Environment – Document individuals in their natural settings, from bustling city streets (street photography) to serene rural landscapes.
- 🎭 Culture & Identity – Explore how people express themselves through traditions, fashion, and daily rituals.
- 💪 Work & Passion – Highlight individuals engaged in their crafts, professions, or hobbies, revealing dedication and purpose.
- 🖐 Abstract & Conceptual – Use silhouettes, shadows, or creative compositions to evoke human presence in unexpected ways.
