Opposites

Your challenge for February is “Opposites.” How will you interpret this challenge? Right vs. Left? Right vs. wrong? Up vs. Down? Or maybe opposite colors like blue and yellow? It's all up to you! Be creative in your light and composition and, most of all, use this as a way to get out of your comfort zone. What to expect at critique: Each image will get around 5 minutes total. Members will have the first 30 seconds to speak about their image. The rest of the time is spent in a friendly, supportive discussion where fellow members will offer feedback and suggestions. Consider exploring: Visual opposites: black and white, textures, reflections, or opposing elements in composition. Conceptual opposites: joy and sorrow, solitude and connection, nature and manmade. Or even unexpected pairings that tell a deeper story when placed side by side. “Opposites” is an opportunity to think about how two contrasting elements can coexist — enhancing one another through difference. Show us how you interpret duality, tension, and harmony in a single frame.
